What is Eva Re-subtitled?

It is a 4.5~MB 240x180 Sorenson-Video Compressed, IMA 4:1 Audio compressed, roughly one-minute long Quicktime File. Though for some reason it thinks it is 309x232 (have no idea why, if any of you know how to fix this please let me know). Just choose "normal size" from the "movie" menu and it should back to normal. It should play with Quicktime 3 or later on Mac and Windows. If you think this should be in MPEG-1 some other format so you can see it in Linux or whatnot, then please either convert it yourself and notify me so that I may post it or let me know of a free QT-to-MPEG encoder. Also, if you have (access to) Media Cleaner Pro and the Sorenson Codec, then by all means please slim it down for me and contact me so that I may post the reduced size version.

But really it's just a short little quickly done fan-made semi-parody of Eva. I originally intended it to be a little funny, though that's not how it came out. It takes the scene where Rei first visits Shinji in the Hospital and turns it into a "what-if" scenario.... As in, "what if Shinji ever bothered to ask Rei about her hair and eye color?" This posits that Rei would react rather *defensively*. Of course, there is no real basis for this interpetation, it's just for fun. It's not supposed to follow canon at all. And why re-subtitle it? If you know any Japanese at all, you can tell fairly easily that the new subtitles *do not* match what they are saying... but so what? Same reason, just for fun. Not quite as much fun as a well-done silly fandub, but a lot easier to do.

You see, I was messing around with Videoshop 3 on one of those AV Educational All-in-one G3's at school, and at the time and decided it might be fun to learn the titling tools by re-subtitling and re-editing a scene from Eva so as to entirely change it's meaning. So it was pretty much just an exercise with Videoshop 3. It took me all of about 2 hours to do.
